Procedure for adjusting shade tension<BR>A. Remove window shade unit that requires adjustment from aircraft. See<BR>(“UNINSTALLING WINDOW SHADE UNIT”, section 6 & 7 pages 3002 & 3003)<BR>NOTE: Assure window unit lenses, plated parts, and decorative mask parts are<BR>protected at all times when work is being done.<BR>B. Locate tension spring at lower back of window housing. Tension assy. is secured in<BR>place w/ stop nut and loop clamp.<BR>C. To remove loop clamp, un-screw stop nut and slide clamp off retainer clip<BR>D. Slide loop clamp & shrink tube to side w/ spring to access ball catch assy.<BR>E. Adjust ball catch assy to desired tension (See FIGURE 3, GRAPHIC 25-23-08-991-<BR>003 page 3004) next page. Make adjustments one link at a time. Optimal tension does<BR>not allow blind mod. to fall freely. Run shade up and down to assure it operates<BR>smoothly.<BR>F. When desired tension is achieved, complete steps C & D in reverse order to complete<BR>adjustment.<BR>G. Re-install window unit. See (“UNINSTALLING WINDOW SHADE UNIT”, section<BR>6 & 7 pages 3002 & 3003). Dry on warm<BR>setting with hair dryer or naturally in the air.<BR>Extremely Tough Stains: For severe stains such as automotive grease use a mild solvent.<BR>Moisten a clean cloth with a mild cleaning fluid.
