<P> <BR>- The TRAINEE’S BOOKLET contains all phases of your course. <BR>The volume explains the organizational and general objectives of the training course. <BR>The Video and Computer Based Training (CBT), the Maintenance and Flight Training Device (MFTD) and the Full Flight Simulator (FFS) phases are explained. <BR>This volume will be a general guide for your activities during your stay at Airbus Training Centre and is useful from day one. <BR> <BR> <BR>- The four volumes of the FCOM are arranged as follows: <BR> <BR>Vol.1 Description of the aircraft systems. <BR>This volume will be of use in the ground course phase (in classroom and self study) to reinforce and complement the lessons learnt on CBT. However the CBT should be considered as the prime source of technical information. Once the ground course phase is successfully completed and upon completion of training, FCOM Vol.1 will become the prime source of information on aircraft systems. <BR> <BR>Vol.2 Performance information and loading data. <BR>This volume is of use during the performance course, and during Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) exercises. <BR> <BR>Vol.3 Operating limitations, Procedures, Techniques and supplementary performance. <BR> The limitations will be introduced during the ground course phase. <BR> Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be introduced from MFTD1 session onwards. <BR> All abnormal and emergency procedures are listed and will be of use from MFTD 7 session onwards. <BR> <BR>Vol.4 Flight Management and Guidance System (FMGS) pilot’s guide <BR> FMGS principles and procedures will be introduced during the ground course from MFTD 1 session onwards. This volume provides in depth information about the FMGS principles, procedures and interface. As the courses progresses, an increasing knowledge of the FMGS is required and the volume will become more useful. <BR> <BR> <BR>- QRH<BR>Most emergency and abnormal procedures are presented electronically to the crew on the flight deck. <BR>Those that are not, are included in the QRH along with normal procedures. In flight performance, operational data and OEBs are also included. The normal checklist is printed at the back of the QRH. <BR>The QRH is required for the MFTD and FFS sessions.. <BR> <BR> <BR>- PTM<BR>This document is used during the performance course that is done entirely with the CBT system. <BR>The PTM contains FCOM extracts for use when solving performance exercises during the ground phase, and in the exam.
