Main Deck Cargo Configuration
The main deck cargo compartment is equipped with an access door which is located on the forward
upper left hand side of the fuselage. The door is hydraulically powered. Manual operation using a hand
pump is provided in the case of a hydraulic power failure.
The main deck cargo door has two opening positions (i) a horizontal and (ii) a vertical which allows
loading by crane.
The horizontal opening position provides a clearance between the top of the cargo loading system and
the door of 3.367 m (132.6 inches). In this condition the limiting factor for the loading height is given by
the cargo compartment geometry.
In the fully opened position (vertical position) the relevant dimension for direct loading into the aircraft is
1.873 m (73.8 inches).
The main deck cargo compartment is provided with an integrated single row/side by side cargo loading
system and is capable of housing the following ULD's
 Single row configurations
12 [88"x125"] ULDs in single row configuration or
11 [96"x125"] ULDs in single row configuration or
5 [125"x96"] ULDs in single row configuration
OR
 Side by side configurations
14 [125"x88"] ULDs in side by side configuration or
12 [125"x96"] ULDs in side by side configuration and 4 [88"x125"] ULDs in single row configuration
OR
 Mixed configurations
a mix of the above mentioned ULD's.
