A330 (PW 4000), T1: Part-66 Cat. B1, Line & Base Maintenance Electrical Systems, Airframe & Powerplant – ATA Spec 104 Level 3 Avionics Systems – ATA Spec 104 Level 2
Duration: 30 days / 210 lessons theoretical training 14 days / 98 hours practical training
Target Group: Part-66 Category B1: Line and Base Maintenance Technician - mechanical
Content: This course covers Airframe, Engine and Electrical elements in detail to ATA specifi-cation 104 Level 3 and Avionics Systems Level 2.
Training includes:
• Description and operation of airframe, engine, electrical and avionics systems.
• Description and operation of controls and indicators.
• Identification and location of the main components
• Servicing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals
• Troubleshooting of the airframe, engine and electrical systems with the use of built-in devices
• Operational testing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems
• Servicing and minor troubleshooting of the avionics with the use of built-in-test de-vices
Number of Theoretical Minimum: 8 Practical Minimum: 4
Participants: Maximum: 15 Maximum: 6
Recommended: 10 Recommended: 5
Prerequisites: JAR/EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License Cat. B1 or equivalent.
Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to do the following tasks:
• Describe aircraft systems and their handling, using proper terminology and no-menclature
• Identify the location of system components
• Describe the relevant safety precautions
• Explain the normal function of the aircraft systems
• Identify and use appropriate aircraft documentation
• Describe routine ramp and transit activities
• Describe procedure for removal / installation unique to the aircraft type
• Describe system, engine and component functional checks as specified in the maintenance manual
• Use and interpret on-board diagnostics to a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)
• Correlate information for the purpose of making decisions in respect to fault diag-nosis and rectification
• Determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with MEL/CDL, by using crew re-port and/or on-board reporting systems
General: Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %. Participants will receive a Part-147 certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Electrical and Avionics Systems – ATA Spec 104 Level 3
Duration: 25 days / 175 lessons theoretical training 10 days / 70 hours practical training
Target Group: Part-66 Category B2: Line and Base Maintenance Technician - avionics
Content: This course covers Avionics and Electrical elements in detail according to ATA speci-fication 104 Level 3. The Airframe and Engine elements are covered according to ATA Spec 104 Level 2 except FADEC and engine indication which are taught on Level 3.
Training includes:
• Description and operation of the avionics and electrical systems as well as air-frame and engine.
• Identification and location of the main components
• Servicing of the avionics and electrical systems in accordance with aircraft main-tenance manuals
• Troubleshooting of the avionics and electrical systems with the use of built-in de-vices
• Operational testing of the avionics and electrical systems

Content: This course covers Airframe, Engine and Electrical elements in detail to ATA specifi-cation 104 Level 2 and Avionics Systems Level 1
Training includes:

• Servicing and minor trouble shooting procedures
Number of Theoretical Minimum: 8 Practical Minimum: 4

Prerequisites: JAR/EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License Cat. A or equivalent
Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to:

• Explain the normal function of each major aircraft system
• Identify and use appropriate aircraft documentation
• Describe routine ramp and transit (through-flight) activities
• Determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with MEL/CDL, by using Crew re-port and/or on-board reporting systems
• State routine servicing procedures
• Use and interpret on-board diagnostics to a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)
General: Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %. Participants will receive a Part-147 certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Duration: 5 days / 35 lessons theoretical training 2 days / 14 hours practical training
Target Group: Part-66 Category B1 / B2; A340 qualified
Content: This course covers the differences between the Airbus A330 versus A340 on Airframe, Engine and Electrical elements in detail to ATA Spec 104 Level 3.
Training includes:
• Description and operation of the airframe, engine and electrical systems
• Identification and location of the main components
• Servicing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals
• Troubleshooting of the airframe, engine and electrical systems with the use of built-in devices
• Operational testing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems
